Most property owners appeal their property taxes in one of the following ways:

  • Appeal it themselves

  • Hire a property tax consultant

  • Hire a real estate lawyer

All three can be successful, but we have developed a product for the owner who wants to do it themselves and reap the full tax savings.  

A property tax appeal is essentially a formal dispute of the county's estimate of the Real Property Component of Market Value, which is the basis for which property taxes are calculated.  There are many ways to support this value, but an appraisal completed by a third party is the most reliable and defensible. 

Most appraisals are very long and intended to address a range of issues relating to making a loan and meeting extensive federal regulations.  We have developed a limited-scope appraisal, which meets only the criterial to support the value for the purpose of a property tax appeal.  Therefore, we can offer it at a much lower price.  Most limited scope tax appraisals can be done for $1,500 to $2,000, depending on location and size.
